Couple quiz: 40 questions to see how well your partner knows you

A couple quiz is the friendship quiz's softer cousin: one of you answers questions about yourself and the other tries to guess. It is a fun way to spend a long drive, a date night at home or a slow evening, and it often turns up small things you never knew about each other.

How to play it as a quiz game

Keep it fun, not a test

• Pick questions you can both laugh about. Leave out exes, phone passwords, money worries and family fights.
• A low score is not a red flag. Some people notice moods more than menus, and new couples are still learning about each other.
• Enjoy the surprises. "Wait, you don't like coffee?" is the best part of the game.
• Take turns. Both of you should make a quiz and play the other's, so nobody feels like they are being graded.
